This time: "The Steel Remains "By Richard K. Morgan.
It is a bit since I've read the book (around August), but I think everything should still get together, more or less. The novel deserves to be there at least reviewed.
"The Steel Remains" is a fantasy novel with a difference and sets the theme "dreckicge environment study, which I started with my first review, continued very well.

How come he does not write "The tail of the prophets"? This sounds much more like the Middle Ages. "
Yeah, because he is not the only one who is criticized for that. I say: This argument does not. No problem, if the word "fuck" someone too much reality and brings back so he does not like it, but to say that it is anachronistic, is nonsense. Besides the fact that fantasy worlds are usually left ajar to a sort of middle age, the European Middle Ages was characterized by the Christian faith. The last of the characters is Egar, dragon slayer and head of a warlike nomadic tribe, whose new ideas and values but does not hit every time an award. While his brothers forge behind his back plans to overthrow him, waiting a Takavach, a demon, a walking God with a message for him.
Conclusion: Well, as I said, a dirty world, a dirty story, and depraved heroes. Certainly not to everyone's taste, but I'll definitely buy the sequel when it appears. It is not a typical fantasy novel and I think it's just interesting to read such a story from the perspective of time and with the voice of an author who writes otherwise rather sci-fi / noir. And
to final To quote Joe Abercrombie, because I find his statement so aptly: Bold, brutal, and making no compromises - Morgan does not so much twist the cliches of fantasy as take an ax to them. Then set them on fire.
